Drinking Cold Beverages with or After Meals?

The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals...not cold liquids... maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!  Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water or beverages, this article is applicable to you.  Cold liquids will solidify the oily type food that you have just consumed.  It will slow down the digestion.

Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food and then line the intestine.

Very soon this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or a warm liquid after a meal.  Be aware that drinking with meals dilutes your hydrochloric acid to break down food in your stomach.

As we age less hydrochloric acid is produced by our body and when we don’t have enough we then have indigestion and bloating.  Hydrochloric acid with pepsin taken in the middle of a meal will greatly help this problem.  Be sure pepsin is included in the supplement.

It is ideal to drink one half hour before you eat a meal especially if you know that it will be a very salty one or wait 2 hours after eating.
