reaction with the media thus the removal is not dependent
on ion exchange, however, it has a uniform particle size
similar to ion exchange resins. It has minimal shrinkage
or swelling and low pressure loss. It is physically stable
and can be used over a wide pH range. This filter also contains
a KDF media which will filter out over 500 contaminants
including chlorine, mercury, lead, arsenic, barium, cadmium,
chromium, selenium, iron and other metals that may be found
in your water. The unique drop-down filter design allows
for a substantial amount of filtration media enabling more
contact time with the water. More contact time means better
filtration. This design also allows for more head room
than most other shower filters. It will last anywhere from
6 months to a year depending upon the mineral content and
particulates of your source water. It is suggested that you
reverse the cartridge every 3 months to enhance a longer
life. This filter will give you smoother, softer skin and
